CGM and Teche Action Clinic, a community health center based in Louisiana, team up again to celebrate National Health Center Week (NHCW)
To mark this year’s celebrations, Teche Action Clinic has organized a full schedule of activities to engage its patients, employees and community members. Activities include a Patient Appreciation Day, Staff Appreciation Day, Breastfeeding Awareness Day as well as a visit from Congressman Charles Boustany and other elected officials.
This year’s NHCW is themed “America's Health Centers - Local Engines for Healthier Communities,” and will run from August 10 to 16, 2014. In true reflection of this, Teche Action Clinic, Louisiana’s first and oldest community health center, has a stellar 40-year record in the delivery of comprehensive, safe and quality healthcare. The Center has been recognized in many ways for its contribution to increasing access to healthcare and ultimately improving the health of the community. As a community health center with a Patient Centered Medical Home designation, Teche Action Clinic successfully delivers quality healthcare that is based on a partnership with patients and other providers to achieve highly coordinated care and improved health outcomes.
Dr. Gary M. Wiltz, Chief Executive Officer of Teche Action Clinic said, “NHCW provides an opportunity to evaluate the progress that has been made in improving access to healthcare for the residents of our communities. As community health centers continue to adapt to reform, we are pleased to celebrate our successes with partners such as CGM, who share our passion for improved healthcare delivery.”
“CGM is proud to team up with Teche Action Clinic once again to celebrate NHCW. As the Center’s healthcare software partner, we recognize the achievements Teche Action Clinic has made in advancing the cause for creating healthier communities through comprehensive, well-coordinated care that is supported by reliable technology,” said Werner Rodorff, CEO, CompuGroup Medical US.
